How do I join the union?+
Registration is free. Click “Join the Union” to create your member account, confirm your email, and you’ll have access to the member portal, union documents, and benefits.
What does membership cost?+
Creating an account on this site is free. Union dues for active members are established by the Board of Representatives as outlined in the AFLPU Constitution, and are handled through your collective bargaining agreement.
Who is eligible to be a member?+
Any person employed as a professional football player is eligible to be an active member. Players actively seeking employment may join as associate members. (See Article II of the Constitution.)
How do I file a grievance?+
Log in to the member portal and use the “File a Grievance” form. Report a contract violation, unsafe conditions, unpaid wages, or other issue — the union will review it and advocate on your behalf.
What are my Weingarten Rights?+
Weingarten Rights give you the right to have a union representative present during any investigatory interview that could lead to discipline. You must request representation. See our Know Your Rights page for the exact statement to use.
What benefits does membership provide?+

Yes. The AFLPU affiliated with the AFL-CIO on May 13, 2014, joining the largest federation of unions in the United States — over 57 international unions representing more than 12 million workers.
