PRIVACY POLICY

How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Overview

The Arena Football League Players Union (“AFLPU,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through www.aflpu.org, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this website you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Contact form: when you send us a message, we collect your first name, middle initial (optional), last name, email, phone (optional), organization (optional), and your message.

Member accounts: when you register, we collect your name, email, and the password you set (passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider and are never visible to us). In the member portal you may optionally add a profile photo, phone, position, team, and a short bio.

Grievances: if you file a grievance, we collect the subject, category, and description you provide.

Analytics: we use privacy-focused analytics to understand general site usage. This does not use invasive third-party advertising cookies.

How We Use Your Information

To respond to your inquiries and provide member services; to administer your membership and the member portal; to review and act on grievances; to send you account and union-related communications; and to operate, secure, and improve the website.

We do not sell your personal information.

How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate the union: with authorized union staff and representatives, and with service providers that host the site, database, and email on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law.

If you opt in to the member directory, the profile details you choose to share become visible to other logged-in members. Participation is optional and you can opt out at any time in your portal.

Data Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated access controls, and row-level database security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your Choices

You can update your profile information or opt out of the member directory at any time in the member portal. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, contact us using the details below.
